Also a lone American White Pelican, 8 frigatebirds at once, a Black-chinned Hummingbird, and possibly a Rufous Hummingbird. The road is out on FM 562 south of SH 61 and also on FM 1985 east of Anahuac NWR so to get to Smith Point you have to take FM 563 from I-10 south past Anahuac and go east on Eagle Ferry Road to FM 562 and then south to the point.
