Sharp-shinned Hawk 95
Cooper’s Hawk 43
Turkey Vulture 291
Black Vulture 23
American Kestrel 17
Peregrine Falcon 4

Northern Harrier 22
Bald Eagle 3

Birds of note: One of the Broad-winged Hawks was a dark morph bird. Also 125 Wood Storks, 102 Sandhill Cranes, and 120 Franklin’s Gulls. The Wood Storks were in with a flock of white pelicans which made for interesting comparisons! Marvin Masters and Regina Tippet helped out today. Thanks y’all! Also we had a visitor from Finland. Another country represented!

The Smith Point Hawk Watch is funded entirely through donations and grants. We have received a number of donations! Thank you! We still need additional funding however. If you would like to make a contribution, you can do so on our website. We appreciate the support very much!
