Veracruz, Mexico Raptor Tour

October 6 – 14, 2018

$2430.00 per person (For single occupancy, add $250 per person)

Extension Tour: $1150 per person

Join GCBO and raptor expert Bill Clark on a trip to Veracruz to see the famous raptor migration and explore the tropical forests for resident raptors. There is a trip extension available specifically designed to see some of the eagles that live in Mexico.

Our home base for the trip will be Hotel Bienvenido in Cardel which houses one of the hawk watch sites on its roof! We will enjoy the raptor migration from there and also at Chichicaxtle. From there we will travel to several areas looking for resident raptors including Aplomado, Bat, and Laughing Falcons, Gray, Roadside, and White-tailed Hawks, and if we are lucky a Collared Forest Falcon. The tour will also go in search of Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture, Common and Great Black-Hawks, and Snail Kite. The trip extension will be focused on eagles including Black and Ornate Hawk-Eagles, Black-and-white Eagle, and Solitary Eagle.

This trip includes local transportation, hotel, breakfast (no other meals), shuttle from and to airport, entry fees to parks, and guide services.  It does NOT include airfare, alcoholic drinks, tips and other personal expenses.
