What is the Gliders Tournament?

The Gliders Tournament is designed for young people 14-18 years old, who are ready to tackle a 24 hour birding challenge.

Gliders can choose to participate on any of the three sections of the coast (Upper, Central, or Lower) as defined by the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. Gliders compete on the day of the One-Day Sectional Tournaments.

So find an adult chaperone, round up some friends and come to the Texas Coast for a challenging outdoor experience you will never forget - while benefiting bird habitat conservation.

Participating in the Birding Classic is an opportunity to be personally involved in a tournament that donates at least $51,000 each year to habitat conservation projects benefiting birds.
