Winter birding ‘inside the fences’ on 12,000 acres of the Katy Prairie Conservancy Preserve system

Spend 8 hours with Steve Gast touring the Katy Prairie Conservancy hotspots in west Houston. Name your focus – sparrows, cranes, hawks, wetland species or a little of everything. Winning bidder has option of a predawn start or a late morning start finishing after nightfall. On site transportation around the KPC preserve system is provided. The Katy Prairie Conservancy’s mission is to preserve an ecologically vital tallgrass prairie and associated wetlands area on Houston’s far west side for the enjoyment and benefit 
of all.

Steve is a member of the Katy Prairie Conservancy Board of Directors. He is passionate about their mission and has spent many days monitoring and tallying the vast array of flora and fauna on the Preserve. Tour available for 1-3 people.
