Description

The Duluth area in late spring and early summer can be a great place to bird in northern Minnesota! And when you get to go with long time local professional guide, biologist, and hawk watch station master, Frank Nicoletti you are sure to have a great time and lots of birds! There are both migrants and nesting birds active. Migration along the shore of Lake Superior, especially at Minnesota Point, can attract and witness great fallout conditions, and if the shore is slow you will head up to Sax-Zim Bog or the Superior National Forest for breeding birds. The list of birds is long, and some mammals are also possible. You can try for Connecticut Warbler, Great Gray Owl, and Red-throated Loon, just to name a few!

Spend two full days of birding in the Duluth area of northern Minnesota with Frank, who will drive you and two guests in his Subaru.  He will pick you up at the Duluth airport. You will be responsible for your food, lodging and getting to Duluth. You must stay in Duluth so Frank can easily pick you up, and we recommend the Days Inn at the Mall as they have a birders discount!

This trip is good for 3 people for 2 full days, and if you wish to have more days in the field with Frank you can hire his guiding services per day.

Must be used in late spring/early summer in 2023
