Bob reports 119 migrating raptors today.
Broad-winged Hawk 23
Red-tailed Hawk 7
Swainson’s Hawk 1
Sharp-shinned Hawk 25
Cooper’s Hawk 5
Mississippi Kite 19
Turkey Vulture 19
American Kestrel 10
Merlin 1
Northern Harrier 9
Bird of the day was Pine Siskin – several were heard flying over. Best thing about the day was the drop in temps from 93 at the start of the count to 68 at the end of the count. It dropped further to 62 after dark. It looks really good for raptor migration the next few days. Get out there if you can!
