Birding & Exploration Boat Trip to Matagorda Island

Join Texas Master Naturalists Brigid & Allan Berger and enjoy a boat ride from Port O’Connor through scenic Espiritu Santo Bay to Matagorda Island Wildlife Refuge.

Enjoy birding the bay marshes along the way and exploring the Gulf beach at beautiful Pass Cavallo. Another unique option is to hike 3 miles to the 1852 historic lighthouse. The island is full of nature’s beauty, and history!  Brigid and Allan love sharing the stories of the island’s ecology and the wildlife all around.

A delicious picnic lunch is included.  Up to 4 people can enjoy this wonderful experience. Trip date will be arranged through Brigid and is open according to their availability.
