Bob reports zero migrating raptors today. Strong south winds killed any migration. A few lazy Turkey Vultures milled about and 20 Snow Geese came by but that was all.

Bob reports 6 migrating raptors today. Northern Harrier 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk 4 Bald Eagle 1 The wind was moderate from the SE and there were nice clouds but the birds did not come. Six Red-breasted Mergansers, a feeding flock of about 2,000 cormorants and a dolphin out in the bay kept Bob entertained.

Lost an hour to rain in the morning but it brightened up again around 10:00.

Tad reports 20 migrating raptors today. Turkey Vulture 11 Northern Harrier 4 White-tailed Kite 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk 1 American Kestrel 3 Strong south winds shut down the hawk migration. The two Western Kingbirds continue! Sixteen Snow Geese flew low over the tower in the morning.

Bob reports 41 migrating raptors today. Turkey Vulture 30 White-tailed Kite 1 Northern Harrier 3 Sharp-shinned Hawk 3 Cooper’s Hawk 2 Bald Eagle 2 The wind was mild out of the SE.
